Brendan has over 30 years of technical and leadership experience across telecommunications, financial services, critical national infrastructure, and enterprise cybersecurity, with expertise spanning Zero Trust Architecture, national PKIs, security detection capabilities, and the latest AI/LLM architectures, alongside penetration testing of critical national infrastructure, leading security incident response teams and conducting complex security investigations. He was an integral part of C-level senior leadership teams, where he successfully grew and oversaw the delivery of all security professional services consultancy and managed security services for a prominent cybersecurity consultancy firm.
Throughout his career, Brendan has assisted many organizations in achieving compliance with ISO 27001 and holds several certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), a data protection certification accredited by the Law Society of Ireland, as well as multiple technical certifications in areas such as PKI and forensic investigations. He also holds certifications from industry-leading security and network technology vendors including Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Microsoft, RSA Security, EnCase, Passware Forensics, and others.
